Flexible Spiral Feeders are designed to convey materials in the form of granules, regrind or powder.
They consist in:
– A probe for the material feed inlet
Two different types of probes can be supplied according to the material to be conveyed.
1/ SV Inlet (bulk probe)
To be placed directly into a container, a hopper or a big bag (with security precautions)
2/ SR Inlet (retaking probe – outlet at 45° or horizontally):
To be connected under a silo bin or container having an outlet flange. The draining of the hopper can be done by a sealing plate.
– Flexible Spiral & Outer Tube Assembly:
The Spiral is made of high resistant steel.
A flexible Polyamide tube.
The spiral/tube assembly is flexible to be used in very saturated areas
– Motor/Collector Assembly :
The rotary drive of the spiral by coupling of sleeve bushing and spire lock.
Material discharge through the outlet collector (horizontal inlet or at 45°).
Polyamide tube connection.
– Electric Control Panel:
Complies with European standards, with severing at the front, power-on indicator, on/off button.
Two ways of functioning:
– With detector (Version 1, 2, 3 & 4)
Material income driven by level detector.
Stopping of feeder during time-lag.
– With time-lag (Version 5)
The timer is set for running time followed by stopping time.
This way of functioning is generally used for the retaking under a grinder.
Different versions are available (determines the emptying way at the outlet of the collector and the kind of driving):
Version 1: Spiral Feeder is supplied with an interface (CED) to be assembled under the collector by a bolt clamp and to be bolted to the receiving hopper (not supplied).
For this version the driving (starting the cycle) of the feeder is operated by a membrane sensor to be plunged into the receiving hopper.
Version 2: Spiral Feeder is supplied with an interface (CED) to be assembled under the collector by a bolt clamp and to be bolted to the receiving hopper (not supplied).
For this version the driving (starting the cycle) of the feeder is operated by a capacitive level sensor to be fixed in the receiving hopper (to be assembled at the top).
Version 3:
Spiral Feeder is supplied with an interface (CA/90), to be fixed under the collector by a bolt clamp and to be bolted to the hopper (not supplied). This interface integrates the setting of the capacitive level sensor.
The driving of the feeder is operated by a capacitive level sensor.
Version 4:
Spiral Feeder is supplied with an interface (SX) to be fixed under the collector by a bolt clamp and to be bolted to the receiving hopper (not supplied). This interface integrates the setting of the capacitive level sensor and a magnetic drawer catching the metallic particles.
The driving of the feeder is operated by a capacitive level sensor.
Version 5: Spiral Feeder is supplied with an interface (CED), to be fixed under the collector by a bolt clamp and to be bolted to the receiving hopper (not supplied).
No detection foreseen. Cyclical functioning to be set by control panel.
