ANTI-BRIDGING FLAT BOTTOM UNIT TYPE DFP
The flat bottom dosing unit is designed for the dosing of non free-flowing powders or
granules, e.g. metallic powders, talc, lime, flour, regrind of plastic films …
– Storage bin
Cylindrical flat bottom silo bin, epoxy coated mild steel RAL 9010 or stainless steel. (Except
DFP 180-5 which is supplied with a transparent hopper, one piece lid & no mesh grid)
Supplied with a two piece cover lid and internal security grid preventing access from the top
of the bin.
Standard capacities : 6 to 680 liters.
Fixed on 3 mild steel support legs with 4mm thick base plate (can be bolted down to floor)
– Antibridging mechanism :
Located at the bottom of the silo bin includes a boss fitted with 2 tangential flexible/rigid
steel blades driven by a geared motor, designed to break the bridging and sweep the
material into the dosing spiral.
– Extraction dosing unit :
The dosing unit includes the duct fitted under the rectangular opening of the bottom of the
silo bin, the dosing spiral driven by a geared motor.
Various sizes of dosing duct, extraction spiral and geared motor are available to meet
different throughput requirements and materials.
– Electric control panel
For control of the complete unit including :-
Isolator switch, power switch, start & stop switches, thermal defect light.
Selection switch for antibridging to run continually or only during dosing.
Emergency stop on the storage bin (Standard supplied)
Potentiometer & card for speed regulation of dosing screw, i.e. adjustment of the dosing
